There is debate around the levels of advocacy that charities should be allowed to engage in. Limits could be placed on their capacity to highlight the plight of those without a voice or to sound the alarm when institutional, economic or social arrangements begin to cause harm. Members of a Catholic anti-trafficking group walked the halls of Parliament House for four days during September to urge MPs to do more to combat human trafficking in Australia. It is the 12th year the ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans) members have taken the case to politicians from all parties. 32 years ago this month, a ceremony was held to transfer custodianship of Uluru and neighbouring Kata Tjuta back to its Anangu traditional owners.
