The Revolution of Tenderness
The Office for Social Justice has launched its own podcast, called The Revolution of Tenderness. Available via a range of podcast platforms, it will feature talks and conversations about living the Catholic social justice tradition. The name comes from a favourite phrase used by Pope Francis to encourage us “to believe once again in the revolutionary nature of love and tenderness” (EG n 288).

Integral Ecology- A Deeper Insight into Reality
Dr David Tutty says that Pope Francis is inviting us to grow through “awareness of how integrated reality truly is”, and to “see the underlying spiritual and cultural problem that we face”. Hence ecological conversion “is about reorienting ourselves and deliberately choosing to live different values so that a more sustainable, just way of living in our ‘common home’ is possible”.

Laudato Si' Year a Jubilee for the Earth
The Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development has announced a special Laudato Si’ Anniversary Year, which will run until 24 May 2021. The Dicastery hopes that it will be a "jubilee time for the earth and for humanity and for all of God’s creatures". The Dicastery has published a multi-year action platform with suggestions for action at the local, regional, national and international levels.

Care for Internally Displaced People
The verbs welcome, protect, promote and integrate provide the framework for Pastoral Orientations on Internally Displaced People developed to guide the work of the Migrants and Refugees Section of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and its partners with internally displaced persons. As well as guiding programs, they also offer key points for homilies, education and media.

Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Sunday - 5 July
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sunday is the first Sunday in July. Usually the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholic Council produces liturgical materials to help parishes to celebrate this special Sunday in an appropriate manner. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be an online Mass.

An emoji is a small digital image or icon used to convey an idea or emotion. Originating on Japanese mobile phones in 1997, emoji became increasingly popular worldwide in the 2010s after being added to several mobile operating systems. They are now considered to be a large part of popular culture in the west. How many Christian emoji can you find?

St Mary Magdalene - 22 July
St Mary Magdalene is remembered as the "apostle to the apostles" because she was the first to announce the resurrection of Jesus. The apostles did not believe her and went to see for themselves. Today is a good time to listen to what faithful women are saying about God’s call to the Church in Australia. Our book Still Listening to the Spirit and accompanying Discussion Guide may help.
