The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference encourage all Catholics to join with Pax Christi and other faith groups in a ‘Day of Prayer’ on Sunday 28 November 2021 to pray for peace in Myanmar.

This day will be a day of solidarity and reflection with people of many faiths keeping the people of Myanmar in their prayers on the 28th of November, 2021.

Across decades, the people of Myanmar have endured trauma and violence and on 1 February this year, the military government was reimposed. Pax Christi held a webinar on the current state of affairs in Myanmar and discerned that a day of prayer is one of the ways the church can support the people Myanmar.  There will focus on a prayer of Peace and Hope.

People of all faiths and none are invited to celebrate the day as they deem appropriate. There will be an ecumenical prayer service held at 7.30pm ADST.
