Crying Out: Exploring the Uluru Statement from the Heart and care for the environment

The text: "Crying Out: Exploring the Statement from the Heart and care for the environment" is in the centre of the picture with a faded slightly white picture of a native plant in the background.

A new resource exploring the relationship between the Uluru Statement from the Heart and care for the environment has been released, aimed at small group discussions in a parish setting.

The resource is a creation of the South Australian Dialogue of the Roman Catholic and Uniting Churches. A dialogue group that seeks to learn and share between traditions in study, reflections, communication, and prayer has created this resource for small groups in both denominations to share with each other.

The resource is split into four sections, two that lead into The Uluru Statement from the Heart – In the Wilderness and Sign of Hope – and then looks to A Response in Faith and Faith in Action.

The resource includes reflections as well as questions and prayer resources that can be used for personal and group reflection.

It aims to ‘contribute to preparing church communities to come to the discussion about treaty and climate change’ and ‘hopes to increase understanding of how the churches have participated in history and how tools of faith can support and equip us for the future’.

A leaders guide and background information can be found at their website www. sadialoguercuc.org
