1981: UN Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief

The Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief was proclaimed by General Assembly resolution 36/55 of 25 November 1981.

Today is a great day to consider how we can play a part in rejecting intolerance and discrimination based on religion or belief in our communities. This is not only about our own freedom and rights. As Christians we are called to stand with and to stand up for people of other faiths who experience intolerance and discrimination in Australia.
