End Temporary Protection

A mother sit besides her son as they complete work at a table in a run down apartment.

Since the recent Federal election, a coalition of refugees, lawyers and community organisations has been pressuring the Albanese Government to make good on its election commitment to end Temporary Protection Visas (TPVs) and Safe Haven Enterprise Visas (SHEVs).

Immigration Minister, Andrew Giles, has re-affirmed the Government’s commitment to end temporary protection and give permanent protection to refugees currently on TPVs and SHEVs. However, he has not provided a timeframe for this long awaited change.

It’s high time that the many refugees on TPVs and SHEVs are given the security and peace of mind that permanent protection offers.

Why not contact your local Federal MP and State Senators and add your voice to the call for the Government to introduce this important policy change without delay?
