Learning More about Catholic Social Action

Catholic Priest in vestements leading Mass

Next month, the Office will start recruiting a small group of Catholics who want to learn more about taking social action which is grounded in the Bible and Church teaching. Participants will also learn skills to be more effective and strategic activists.

A series of eight two-hour workshops led by Dr. Sandie Cornish from Australian Catholic University and Dr. James Whelan from The Change Agency will commence in late June.

This is a pilot project. We hope participants will form a community of practice so that they can support each other in being more effective and faithful Catholic social activists.

We will share more next month, but if you would like to find out more or to express an interest, please contact the Director, Peter Arndt, at peter.arndt@catholic.org.au
